Decision Analysis Seminar

Brief Overview

(2 - 4 Hours Suggested)
The Decision Analysis seminar reviews the process from both the management's perspective as well as the auditors.

The profession has always required the auditor to analyze decisions made in the organization, but never before has this been such a complicated and difficult process.

The decision making process has been significantly impacted by such events as total quality management, empowerment, re-engineering and reorganization.

Not only does the auditor need to understand the decision making process and methodologies of management, the auditor also needs to possess decision making skills.

The professional standards require auditors to "...interpret..." information.

Conclusions are drawn to put the audit findings into perspective.

The decision making process requires the auditor to be knowledgeable in using quantitative methods, analytical audit procedures, etc.
